Utah Residential Drug Rehab

Patients entering our Utah residential drug rehab and treatment center are no longer in need of acute care and aren’t illustrating withdrawal symptoms, yet they are still in need of 24-hour monitoring and support. Inpatient rehabilitation has the highest long-term success rates. During this phase of treatment, patients receive more intensive individual and group counseling sessions. Recovery Ways keeps our groups small to make sure that everyone gets the most out of the therapy. Our residential program is highly structured, offering a minimum of 8 hours of daily programming. Developing insight and understanding into the disease of addiction, the psychological triggers, and the recovery process provide the foundation for our residential treatment program. The length of treatment depends on what substance was being abused, the severity of the addiction, if the patient has been through rehab before, and if they have any co-occurring disorders. We will work with them to determine what is the best options for them to ensure they fully recover from their addiction with the capability of maintaining their sobriety.

Residential drug rehab treatment allows patients the chance to completely focus on getting well and sober but it is not just about getting away from the stressors of life and stopping the alcohol or drugs. It is about learning to take control and responsibility for their life, finding their Higher Power and opening themselves to others. The treatment process focuses on the whole person, not just the physical addiction, and their recovery is supported by caring and highly-qualified staff members. They will gain more than they ever thought was possible as they undergo a healing process….a new way of looking at each aspect of their life; the mind, body, and spirit. While they are at Recovery Ways, the premier Utah residential drug rehab facility, they will learn more about themselves, their addiction and how to overcome it, new activities to do outside of rehab, new life skills, and how to take care of their mind, body, and spirit. They will meet new like minded people who will offer encouragement and support throughout the treatment and throughout their new sober life. If they have any co-occurring disorders we will also help them with those whether it is with medication, therapy, or both.

In order to do that we need to make sure that patients start and go through the right treatment programs for them and to do this, we have a professional assessment of all patients and continue to allow the patients to be a part of their treatment program.

Sensory Integration

Recovery Ways’ Sensory Rooms provide an environment that nurtures the body and invites the person to engage in activities that help them to feel good and to focus on strengths, interests, and personal self-care. Recovery Ways has created a dedicated room that aids in the removal of stresses of the outside world. It is an artificially created space that brings together multi-sensory equipment in one place to stimulate or calm the senses. Our multi-sensory room offers a nurturing, patient-centered, sensory supportive, interdisciplinary treatment space. This room provides a specifically designed space that provides clients with additional options for recognizing and reducing their level of self-perceived distress and anxiety.

Recreation Therapy

People in early recovery learn how to overcome obstacles without using drugs or alcohol. Recreation therapy can also help with some co-occurring disorders such as PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, anxiety, and depression. Treating these disorders and the addiction together make relapse less likely. These activities also help recovering addicts become more personally responsible, develop their communication skills, learn problem-solving skills, and teamwork and support. These are all skills they can use in their new sober lifestyles as well as the activities they participate in.
